I haven't been writing much lately, because pretty much all I've been doing is working. This is my first roughly full-time week, which might be kind of exciting except that all it means is that I do the same things I've been doing, just more hours per week. Next week the whole bibliographic database will be extracted for migration to the new system, so this week I'm doing a lot of database cleanup. Last week I deleted over 200,000 holdings; this week I deleted 13,000 more holdings plus 34,000 bibliographic records. (The whole database has approximately 4 million holdings and 1 million bibs.)
On Tuesday Jeff and I watched Office Space (yay library videos!), and all I can say is, I'm glad KCLS isn't anything like that!
In my free time, I've been doing exciting things like laundry and playing Civilization III. That's even less exciting than work.
There is hope, however; my digital camera is supposed to come today (finally!). If nothing else, you'll get cute pictures of Horace.
