I have a bit of a problem. See, now that I'm out of school, and work is my only major time commitment (well, besides miscellaneous cooking and housework), I would really like to spend a lot of time working on the things that need to be done. On the other hand, I'm only authorized for 69 hours this month, and I can't go over that. It works out to 15 or 16 hours per week, but there's enough work for twice that, and even more, since work expands to fill the time one has to do it. ;-)
So my problem is not that I don't have time in my life, but that I don't have enough paid time. On the other hand, maybe this fact will impress itself upon the higher-ups (since one of the projects I'm working on is the circulation statistics which are a life-and-death issue for the Board), and maybe it will help to convince them that they want to give me more hours.
In the meantime, this week I've been doing lovely domestic things like cooking, knitting, and sewing. Yesterday I started working on a linen shirt for Jeff, this evening I cooked mini raspberry tarts, and tomorrow I will meet up with friends to knit. I feel like I'm turning into my mother, the housewife and craftswoman, and it seems like a very good thing indeed.
