I meant to write more about my fascinating and exciting three days in Long Beach, but I'm too tired, and I think it's just not going to get done. I went to lots of interesting sessions about user studies, digital libraries, e-commerce, and other current LIS issues. I was up all day, from about 7:00 until 22:00, unless I collapsed on a couch in the hotel lobby in the afternoon, and I had conversations with tons of people, none of them terrifyingly famous (there were lots of famous people around, though only in the library world). It was all quite exhausting, especially since I don't get to take a break. I had a group project meeting late this morning, and I've got lots of homework, including a paper that's due Saturday afternoon and that I haven't even thought of starting yet. Erg. So nothing's going to get written about the conference, I think, unless a miracle happens.
But Jeff and I bought a couple of pumpkins today, for the purpose of pie, and that will be nice. We went quite squash-happy. There are worse things to be.
