I really don't understand myself. This week I had two full days, Tuesday and Thursday, when I had no classes and could have gotten oodles and oodles of stuff done, and I didn't. I got some things done, yes, but never as much as I had on my list. And today I had only an afternoon and an evening to do many many things, most of which are due tomorrow, and I got almost all of them done. What the heck? I'm exhausted from not sleeping terribly much for the last few days and from hurling today, and I'm not extremely motivated either. How did I get so much done? It's not even Monday morning yet.
Okay Laura, time to stop analyzing this. Just take it as proof that yes, you can get stuff done if you just sit down and do it. And for my next trick, I will subtract about 20 hours per week from my schedule and try getting schoolwork done then! Okay, enough sarcasm. Onward ho...
Hurling today was okay. There weren't quite as many people as last week, perhaps because it was even wetter and rainer than usual, and the field was pretty soggy. Luckily I didn't fall down, but I did get rather mud-splattered. I got significantly better at jab-lifting the sliothar from the ground, but I got kind of tired and frustrated at myself for not having enough strength and control in my arms, back, and legs. I guess I should just get a hurley and sliothar so that I can practice on my own and get stronger and better. On the plus side, Raphael's head has healed well, and he's going to have a small scar. He very much enjoys telling people how he got beat up by a skinny kid 90 pounds soaking wet.
New nickname: Laura the Lacerator.
Oh look, I've just discovered three other articles I was supposed to read for tomorrow morning and haven't yet. *sigh*
