The Other Blog

Wed, 5 Mar 2003

Note (16 June 2004): Not only has my library-blog been defunct for over a year, but the University of Washington is going to delete my webspace in a few months. Therefore, I have removed the link to that blog from this post.

You may have noticed that my blogroll contains a link to Laurabelle the Librarian, which is in fact me. This is my personal blog, and that's the sort of professional one. I hope prospective employers will look at that one and think Wow, she has intelligent thoughts and diverse interests, and she writes them down. I hope they won't look at this one and think Wow, what a weirdo. [sound of application hitting trashcan] I can't prevent them from finding this one, of course, but I'm not going to throw it at them.

In the past, when there were library-related posts that I thought might be interesting to people reading this blog, I posted them on both blogs. However, that's not normalized, as Boiko would say. So I've started pinging the LIS category on this blog when I post to that one (not that I do it very much), and those posts will appear in my blogroll on the front page as well as on the LIS archive page.
