This trackback thingamajiggy

Aquarion mentioned my blog three days ago (or four, depending on how you count the wee hours of the morning), just as the ol' hard drive went boing, and I lost my whole blog up to that moment. Oh, and I also lost my whole site... which is actually okay since I kind of felt it was time for a redesign anyway, but I couldn't be bothered quite yet. So this is a good excuse.

This is also kind of a test of this TrackBack stuff, to see exactly how it works, and how Aquarion's site will now show that I've linked to his entry. I read Movable Type's documentation on TrackBack, and I didn't get all that. I understand what it does, I just don't understand how.

I am beginning to know what the design of this site will be.

Erm, how Aquarion's blog will show that I linked to him is that he won't. I'm supposed to use another URL for TrackBack.

dearg says:

It's good to see you back up.

OK, so I never saw it before you lost it all, but I will look in from time to time.

Anyway, looking good.

Wait a cotton picking minute! Aquarion mentioned your blog whilst I was trying to make the drive limp by until it was changed, so then his hordes of fans came over and it started making clunking noises and became unusable in the highest degree! I wonder... :-)

Corinne says:

Hmm, any chance of making the blog dependent on screen width rather than fixed? Have pity on us poor 800x600ers!

Laurabelle says:

Ohhh yes I will be changing the layout soon, never fear. This is merely the default MT layout, and I haven't quite decided what I'm going to do with it yet. But whatever I do, it will be very flexible.

icmp-echo says:

Hmm, in IE it doesn't actually matter what resolution you use, it always scrolls to make the main text area the width of browser. Works fine in Mozilla and Opera, of course...
